Returns, Refunds, Exchange & Warranty Policy
At TecUpdater, we believe in transparent policies and fair practices. Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order.
By purchasing from TecUpdater, you agree to the terms stated below. A clear video on unboxing/unpacking is required in cases where the received product is not as expected or as per the order/product details on the website.
1. Exchange, Return & Refund Policy
Exchange only. TecUpdater accepts exchanges only. We do not give refunds in any scenario, including an order placed in error, the wrong item ordered, change of mind, or any other reason. If a product does not suit you, we will exchange it under the conditions below.
The only exception is a rare case where TecUpdater agrees, in writing and before you ship anything, that you send the product back and receive a refund. This is decided case by case by TecUpdater and is never a right. The terms are set out under “Refunds (rare cases, by written agreement)” below.
Exchange Window
- Exchange requests must be initiated within 3 days of delivery.
- Requests made after 3 days of delivery, as per the details provided by the courier partner, will not be accepted.
Exchange Process
- Submit your request through our Contact Us page.
- Wait for written approval before shipping back the item.
- Pack the product securely in original packaging with all accessories.
- Use a trackable courier service (Blue Dart or DTDC recommended).
- Return shipping is paid by you, at actual cost. You can send the item yourself, or contact TecUpdater to arrange a reverse pickup, charged at actual cost.
- Unauthorized returns may be rejected.
Exchange Conditions
- Product must be unused.
- Product must be in original condition.
- Packaging must be undamaged.
- No physical damage, scratches, or tampering.
Products not meeting these conditions may be rejected.
Refunds (rare cases, by written agreement)
- A refund is not available as a right. It is given only if we agree to it in writing before you send the product back.
- Once we receive and inspect the returned product, the refund is the amount you paid minus: (a) the actual shipping cost of the courier that delivered your order to you, and (b) an additional 2.5% charged for payment processing and packaging.
- The return shipment to us is paid by you, at actual cost. You can send it by a trackable courier yourself, or contact TecUpdater to arrange a reverse pickup, charged at actual cost.
- Refunds are initiated within 2 working days after inspection.
- Credit timeline depends on your bank (typically 5–7 working days); if the refund is made via UPI, it generally reflects immediately.
- Processing may occur on weekends (Saturday/Sunday).
2. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Share clear photos/videos as proof.
- Claims without proper evidence may not be accepted.
After inspection, we will offer:
- A replacement (subject to stock availability). Replacement is the only remedy; we do not offer store credit or refunds.
Return shipping and replacement shipping charges are payable by the customer at actual cost. You can send the item yourself, or contact TecUpdater to arrange a reverse pickup, charged at actual cost. Replacements are issued only after inspection and approval.
3. Shipping & Return-to-Origin (RTO) Policy
Same/Next day Free Blue Dart shipping: shipping is free on every order and orders are dispatched by Blue Dart on the same or the next working day. BlueDart is our preferred courier. In some cases we may ship your order with another courier, as recommended by our shipping portal based on delivery dates, recipient pincode serviceability and similar factors. Delivery dates are estimates and may take longer due to local conditions, courier operational issues or other circumstances beyond our control.
Orders are shipped to the address provided at checkout. Address or mobile number changes after dispatch are not possible.
Carriers typically attempt delivery 2–3 times. After failed attempts, orders are marked as RTO.
If an order is returned due to:
- Customer unavailability
- Wrong address
- Refusal to accept delivery
- Failure to respond to courier
RTO shipping charges (both forward and return) including 2.5% handling charges will be deducted from your refund. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
4. Tampered or Damaged Packages
If the outer package appears tampered, it is always recommended to reject the delivery and inform us. It is always recommended to:
- Take photos/videos before opening.
- Refuse delivery if the package looks suspicious and mention remarks with the courier.
If you accept a tampered package without reporting at delivery time, return or refund requests may not be accepted.
5. Delivery Delays / False Delivery
Orders are dispatched the same or next working day. Standard delivery timeline after dispatch: 3–5 working days. These timelines are estimates and may take longer due to local conditions, courier operational issues or other circumstances beyond our control.
Delays caused by third-party couriers are outside TecUpdater’s control.
For false delivery claims:
- Report within 4–8 hours of status update.
- Provide evidence immediately.
- Investigation may take 10–15 working days.
If courier confirms delivery with proof, the claim will be closed.
6. Warranty Terms & Conditions
Warranty (if applicable) is clearly mentioned on individual product pages. There is no universal or global warranty policy applicable to all products. If warranty is not mentioned on the product page, the product shall be considered out of warranty. Warranty starts from the invoice date.
Warranty claims require:
- Prior approval
- Invoice copy
- Clear proof (video/photos)
Contact via WhatsApp or email for pre-approval.
6.1 Warranty Coverage Structure
Warranty terms vary by product category.
If a replacement product is unavailable, discontinued, or permanently out of stock, a pro-rated refund or store credit may be issued based on the remaining warranty period.
Pro-rated calculation formula:
Remaining Warranty Period ÷ Total Warranty Period × Product Price
Example: If a 12-month warranty product fails after 6 months and replacement is unavailable, approximately 50% value may be issued as store credit or refund.
Replacement is always prioritized over refund. Store credit validity: 3 months (non-extendable, non-transferable).
7. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty does not cover:
- Water damage
- Improper installation
- Reverse polarity
- Short circuits
- External voltage issues
- Physical damage
- Burnt components
- Unauthorized modifications
- Reverse engineering
- Improper use
- Damage due to accidents
- Wear and tear
- Consumable items
Claims falling under these conditions will be rejected.
8. Customized & Special-Order Products
Customized or made-to-order products:
- Are non-returnable.
- May not be eligible for refund.
- Warranty terms (if any) are agreed at time of purchase.
9. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall TecUpdater’s liability exceed the original product purchase price.
TecUpdater shall not be liable for:
- Installation costs
- Labor charges
- Vehicle damage
- Loss of business

- Any financial loss arising from product usage
Customer assumes responsibility for proper installation and use.
10. Technical Products & Compatibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Checking vehicle compatibility before purchase.
