By purchasing from TecUpdater, you agree to the terms stated below.
1. Return, Refund & Exchange Guidelines
We aim to make the return process smooth and clear.
Return Window
- Return or exchange requests must be initiated within 3 days of delivery.
- Requests made after 3 days will not be accepted.
Return Process
- Submit your request through our Contact Us page.
- Wait for written approval before shipping the item.
- Pack the product securely in original packaging with all accessories.
- Use a trackable courier service (Blue Dart or DTDC recommended).
- Pickup can be arranged at actual shipping cost.
Unauthorized returns may be rejected.
Return Conditions
- Product must be unused.
- Product must be in original condition.
- Packaging must be undamaged.
- No physical damage, scratches, or tampering.
Products not meeting these conditions may be rejected.
Refund Processing
- Refunds are initiated within 2 working days after inspection.
- Credit timeline depends on your bank (typically 5–7 working days).
- Processing may occur on weekends (Saturday/Sunday).
2. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Share clear photos/videos as proof.
- Claims without proper evidence may not be accepted.
After inspection, we may offer:
- Replacement (subject to stock availability), OR
- Store credit, OR
- Refund (at our discretion)
Return shipping and replacement shipping charges are payable by the customer at actual cost.
Refunds are issued only after inspection and approval.
3. Shipping & Return-to-Origin (RTO) Policy
Orders are shipped to the address provided at checkout. Address changes after dispatch are not possible.
Carriers typically attempt delivery 2–3 times. After failed attempts, orders are marked as RTO.
If an order is returned due to:
- Customer unavailability
- Wrong address
- Refusal to accept delivery
- Failure to respond to courier
RTO shipping charges (both forward and return) will be deducted from your refund.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
4. Tampered or Damaged Packages
If the outer package appears tampered:
- Take photos/videos before opening.
- Refuse delivery and mention remarks with the courier.
If you accept a tampered package without reporting at delivery time, return or refund requests may not be accepted.
5. Delivery Delays
Standard delivery timeline: 3–5 working days.
Delays caused by third-party couriers are outside TecUpdater’s control.
For false delivery claims:
- Report within 4–8 hours of status update.
- Provide evidence immediately.
- Investigation may take 10–15 working days.
If courier confirms delivery with proof, claim will be closed.
6. Warranty Terms & Conditions
Warranty (if applicable) is clearly mentioned on individual product pages.
There is no universal or global warranty policy applicable to all products.
If warranty is not mentioned on the product page, the product shall be considered out of warranty.
Warranty starts from the invoice date.
Warranty claims require:
- Prior approval
- Invoice copy
- Clear proof (video/photos)

6.1 Warranty Coverage Structure
Warranty terms vary by product category.
If a replacement product is unavailable, discontinued, or permanently out of stock:
A pro-rated refund or store credit may be issued based on the remaining warranty period.
Pro-rated calculation formula:
Remaining Warranty Period ÷ Total Warranty Period × Product Price
Example:
If a 12-month warranty product fails after 6 months and replacement is unavailable, approximately 50% value may be issued as store credit or refund.
Replacement is always prioritized over refund.
Store credit validity: 3 months (non-extendable, non-transferable).
7. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty does not cover:
- Water damage
- Improper installation
- Reverse polarity
- Short circuits
- External voltage issues
- Physical damage
- Burnt components
- Unauthorized modifications
- Reverse engineering
- Improper use
- Damage due to accidents
- Wear and tear
- Consumable items
Claims falling under these conditions will be rejected.
8. Customized & Special-Order Products
Customized or made-to-order products:
- Are non-returnable.
- May not be eligible for refund.
- Warranty terms (if any) are agreed at time of purchase.
9. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall TecUpdater’s liability exceed the original product purchase price.
TecUpdater shall not be liable for:
- Installation costs
- Labor charges
- Vehicle damage
- Loss of business
- Loss of time
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Any financial loss arising from product usage
Customer assumes responsibility for proper installation and use.
10. Technical Products & Compatibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Checking vehicle compatibility before purchase.
- Confirming part numbers.
- Ensuring proper installation.
We are not liable for incompatibility issues if the wrong product is ordered.
11. Policy Updates
TecUpdater reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice.
The policy applicable at the time of purchase will govern the order.
