- Pre-requisite: Must update from version 0707
Steps for Updating to VW Play 0812:
- Prepare the USB Drive:
- Format your USB drive in FAT32 or ExFAT format.
- Download the VW Play 0812 .zip update file and copy it to the root of the USB drive.
- Initiate Update Process:
- Start your vehicle and access the VW Play screen.
- Navigate to Configuration > System > System (until the current system version is displayed).
- Plug the USB drive into the vehicle’s USB port.
- Wait a few seconds for the system to detect the device.
- Install the Update:
- Once the device is detected, an Update button will appear on the screen.
- Click on the Update button to begin the installation process.
- The update will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete.
- Ensure that the vehicle remains powered on during this time.
- Completion:
- After installation, the system will automatically reboot.
