What It Is

This is a triple-screen head up display unit that runs OBD2 and GPS modes simultaneously. All three screens — a circular gauge-style display and two rectangular panels — are active at the same time, each showing a different set of live data. The unit connects to your car’s OBD2 port via the included cable and uses its inbuilt GPS receiver for speed, direction, altitude, and satellite data that does not depend on the OBD2 connection.

The housing is PC+ABS in matte black, designed to sit on the dashboard without obstructing the driver’s forward sightline. Mounting uses the included double-sided tape, and the unit powers on and off with the ignition automatically.

What Problem It Solves

Most car dashboards in India — even recent ones — show a limited set of parameters. Speed, fuel level, coolant temperature, and not much else. For a driver who wants to monitor turbo pressure, track fuel consumption in real time, watch RPM, keep an eye on oil temperature, or simply have GPS speed as a reference independent of the speedo, the factory instrument cluster offers no solution without expensive aftermarket gauges or a full infotainment upgrade.

This unit places all of that data on the dashboard in a format that is readable at a glance while driving, drawn directly from the OBD2 port and inbuilt GPS — no wiring, no permanent modification, no workshop required.

Installation Logic

Plug the OBD2 cable into the OBD2 port under the dashboard — standard on all OBD2-compliant cars sold in India. Position the HUD unit on the dashboard using the included double-sided tape. The unit powers on with the ignition and off when the engine is shut down. No wire cutting, no permanent modification, and no coding required. The included pry bar and hex wrench assist with cable routing and housing adjustment if needed.

GPS functions via the inbuilt receiver and require no additional antenna or external hardware.

Behaviour Explanation

Once connected, all three screens activate simultaneously. Each screen can be configured to display a different data set — the user switches between nine available display interface combinations to choose what appears on each panel. OBD2 data and GPS data are pulled and displayed in parallel without needing to choose between modes.

The eight alarm types — overspeed, speed threshold, water temperature, voltage, turbo pressure, exhaust temperature, oil temperature, and fuel pressure — trigger a red flashing ring on the circular centre screen when a threshold is exceeded. Alarm thresholds are programmable. When speed units are switched to MPH, temperature automatically switches to Fahrenheit and distance to miles.

OBD2 mode requires an OBD2-compliant vehicle. GPS mode functions on all cars regardless of OBD2 compatibility.

Display Parameters

The unit can display the following across its three screens:

Vehicle speed, engine RPM, battery voltage, coolant water temperature, oil temperature, transmission oil temperature, turbo pressure, exhaust temperature, instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, engine load, fuel quantity, fuel pressure, oil pressure, intake pressure, driving distance per trip, driving time per trip, outside temperature, GPS speed, GPS direction, altitude, longitude, latitude, number of satellites, and clock.

Key Compatibility

OBD2 mode: Compatible with all OBD2-compliant vehicles. In India, this covers petrol cars from approximately 2005 onwards and diesel cars from approximately 2008 onwards — though exact OBD2 compliance varies by manufacturer and model year. Pre-OBD2 vehicles can still use GPS mode fully.

GPS mode: Compatible with all vehicles regardless of OBD2 status.

Not all parameters will be available on all cars — displayed data depends on what your car’s ECU reports via OBD2. Turbo pressure, exhaust temperature, and transmission oil temperature are only available on cars whose ECU supports those PIDs.

Who Should Buy

Drivers who want live engine and GPS data visible while driving without modifying their car. Particularly useful for performance-oriented drivers monitoring turbo, oil, and fuel parameters, and for everyday drivers who want speed, voltage, and temperature alerts on the dashboard. Suitable for all OBD2-compliant cars in India.

Who Should Not Buy

Pre-OBD2 vehicles will only have access to GPS mode — OBD2 engine parameters will not be available. If your primary requirement is live engine data such as RPM, turbo, or fuel consumption, confirm your car is OBD2 compliant before ordering. Also not suitable for drivers expecting factory-level integration with the instrument cluster.

FAQs

Q: Do all three screens work at the same time? A: Yes. All three screens are active simultaneously. Each can be configured to show a different set of data from the nine available display interface options.

Q: Does this need a separate GPS antenna? A: No. GPS is built into the unit. No external antenna or additional hardware is required.

Q: Will this work on my car if it does not have OBD2? A: GPS mode will work on any car. OBD2 engine data — speed, RPM, temperature, fuel consumption, etc. — requires an OBD2-compliant vehicle. Most Indian market cars from 2005 onwards for petrol and 2008 onwards for diesel are OBD2 compliant, but verify for your specific model if unsure.

Q: Can I set my own alarm thresholds? A: Yes. All eight alarm types have programmable thresholds. The unit alerts via a red flashing ring on the circular screen when any threshold is exceeded.

Q: Will it power off automatically when I turn off the engine? A: Yes. The unit powers on and off with the ignition automatically.
