Wire to Connect Two Horns — Why Use a Harness

Most cars in India come with one factory horn. To add a second horn, you need a wire to connect two horns. This part is called a horn splitter harness. It plugs into the horn wire connector that is already in the car. You do not cut wire. You do not splice wire. This is a plug and play harness — unplug it and the car goes back to stock.

Horn Wire Harness — Pick Your Car Brand

A wire harness that splits one horn wire into two horns is called a horn splitter harness. A wire harness that lets you fit a different horn brand is called a horn adapter harness. Find your car brand below.

Volkswagen & Skoda

These share the same factory 2-pin horn connector across both the older PQ platform and the newer MQB platform. Read the full VW/Skoda horn connector guide.

Other Wire Harness and Wiring Kits

TecUpdater also sells wire harnesses for stereo, lights, and USB charging. These plug in the same way as the horn harnesses above — straight into the existing factory connector.

How to Pick the Right Wire Harness for Your Car

  • Check your horn wire connector type first. Hyundai and Kia use an INFAC connector. Tata, Mahindra, and Maruti Suzuki use a Delphi connector. VW and Skoda use a 2-pin OEM connector.
  • Check if your car has one horn or two horns already. One horn: use a horn splitter harness to add a second horn. Two horns already: use a horn adapter harness to change the horn brand.
  • All harnesses on this page are plug and play — they connect at the existing factory connector.
  • Still not sure which one to pick? See all wire harnesses in Harness and Cables, or the full Accessories range, or send your car make, model, and year to Contact Us before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most Hyundai and Kia models, including the Creta, use the same INFAC-type horn connector, which is why one INFAC harness design covers several models. It is still worth checking your exact model and year on the product page, since not every Hyundai/Kia model uses it.

Yes. The Polo and Vento (older PQ platform) use the same factory 2-pin horn connector as the Taigun, Virtus, Slavia, and Kushaq (newer MQB platform), so the same horn harness fits both platforms.

The Tata Nexon shares the same Delphi-type horn connector as several other Tata models (Tiago, Tigor, Punch, Altroz, Harrier, Safari) and several Mahindra models, so one Delphi harness design covers all of them.

The connector type depends on your car’s wiring, not just the model name. Two cars that look similar can still use a different connector. Check the product page for your car first. If your exact car is not listed, send your car make, model, and year to Contact Us before you order.

A plug and play harness connects at the existing wire connector, so you can unplug it and put the car back to how it was. Warranty rules can still differ by car brand and dealer, so if your car is under warranty, check with your service centre first.

Yes, in most cases. Unplug the factory horn connector, plug the harness in between, and reconnect it. This takes most people well under an hour with basic hand tools. A local mechanic can also fit it — no special tools or coding needed.
